Lane Lythgoe, MBA

Principal Architect

Lane holds both a Bachelor of Engineering (BYU 1988) and a Master of Business (University of Phoenix 1993). As a young boy, he grew up helping his father in the construction industry. In 1999, he received his Architect license and founded Lythgoe Design Group, Inc. He has managed the firm since that time. In 2003, Lane obtained his general contractor license. He has a depth of experience and knowledge due to the range of projects he has been involved in.

Joshua Lythgoe, AIA

Project Architect

Josh is a licensed architect who graduated from Utah Valley University's Classical Architecture program in 2025 with his B.Arch degree. He also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Finance and an Associate's Degree in Engineering and Design Technology. He has been working at Lythgoe Design Group since 2017 and has been influential in reinforcing the firm's strong commitment to traditional architecture.

Laurie Lythgoe

Partner/Finance Manager

Laurie, with her husband Lane, founded and built Lythgoe Design Group, Inc. From its inception, she has been integral to the accounting, human resources, marketing, and general operations of the firm. Today, she is responsible for office management, human resources, coordinating marketing efforts, and accounts payable.

Laurie holds both an Associate of Business in Accounting (UVU 1988) and an Associate in Culinary Arts (UVU 2021).

Kolton Klein

BIM Engineer

Kolton holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (USU 2018). He has always been interested in engineering and technology. He began working for Lythgoe Design Group, Inc. in 2014. Kolton works as a Project Manager, assisting with design work. Kolton’s understanding of engineering and design, combined with his attention to detail, creates true value to the client by creating clear and comprehensive construction documents.

Barrett Blake

Architectural Associate

Barrett holds both a Bachelor of Architecture Degree (UVU 2025) and an Associate of Science Degree in Engineering Design Technology (UVU 2021). His love for architecture began with drawings and sketches, and through his education in architectural design, he has gained a deeper appreciation for and understanding of classical and traditional design. Barrett contributes to the team by providing insightful design guidance and by producing clear and effective construction documents.
